29.07.10:  The summer part of the Mumiy Troll's Navy Tour has come to an end.

Mumiy Troll started the Navy Tour in the middle of July. The Tour's concerts were held in the Russian cities that are headquarters for the Navy. In Sevastopol, the band played aboard the grand anti-submarine vessel Kerch, the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet. In Kronshtadt, the stage was a training vessel Perekop – the most rock-n-roll ship of the Baltic Fleet. In Vladovostok, the home city for the band, they played aboard the Varyag cruiser, the flagship of the Pacific Fleet, and at the Aquatic Sports Center of the Pacific Fleet. The musicians were congratulating the crews of the ships with the coming Russian Navy Day, giving presents to distinguished sailors and playing their “nautical' songs.

During the Navy Tour, the band was shooting the film with the working title “The Fleet through the musicians' eyes', in which Ilya Lagutenko tells his story of service in the Navy, naval traditions and music trips. The film will include many interviews with sailors and fragments of the concerts. “The Fleet through the musicians' eyes' will be shown on one of the central TV channels in September. Besides, during the concert at Vladivostok's Aquatic Sports Center, the shootings of the new clip “Vladivostok 3000' were held, and the clip is expected to be finished in October.

Ilya Lagutekno: “It was the desire to come towards my childhood dreams – they were not fated to come true then, but we were slowly and persistently going to the goal. The idea of performing here, in Vladivostok, for the Navy Day, was born not one year ago, not even five or ten, but when I was a boy, trying to sneak to the Navy Day ceremony or at least for a moment see, what was going on there. I dreamed of being a Marine who crashes bricks with his head, or the Neptune, or if nothing else – the thirty third Knight from a fairy tale, walking from the sea to the shore. Later, when we started playing concerts, when Mumiy Troll became recognized, we've always wanted to come to Vladovostok, to perform exactly for the Pacific Fleet and for the Navy Day. And so, last year we were shooting the video for the Smog song, together with Navy sailors and ships, – then in the conversations with people serving on the Far East, the idea of such tour was born. To our surprise and happiness, the Navy headquarters gave full approval and support for the Navy Tour.

About the Vladivostok-3000… I myself wonder, what is Vladivostok – 3000. Sounds like a codename for an operation. For sure, this is not a remix or a re-make. This is Vladivostok of the future, from the point of view of musicians and of the audience who came to the concert. For me, it's very important that it's a joint work. Maybe, it will give a start to a new art project, a film, maybe…š— the development of the positive mythology is in our long-term plans.'

The Mumiy Troll's Navy Tour will continue in autumn with concerts in Astrakhan, Murmansk and Baltiysk (Kaliningrad), and possibly even with a real grand Navy campaign in the beginning of the next year.
