15.06.10: Mumiy Troll goes to a Naval tour.
The Naval theme was always close to Mumiy Troll. The musicians of the band themselves are former servicemen of the Pacific Fleet of Russian Navy. The sea theme is interlaced with their music – from the first album, Morskaya (Nautical) to the recent single Smog for the new album, Redkie Zemli (Rare Lands).š
The Mumiy Troll's Naval tour will start just before the celebration of the Russian Navy Day. It'll begin in the cities that host headquarters of the Russian fleets, and will have two major parts: concerts in the evenings and meetings with fleets' representatives during the days.š
In the summer part of the tour, the musicians will be welcomed by Odessa, Sevastopol, Vladivostok, St. Petersburg, and Sochi. In the autumn – by Astrakhan and Murmansk.š
Mumiy Troll will meet with sailors of various fleets, visit navy ships, held autograph sessions and special concerts for the sailors, as well as photo sessions. During these meetings, Zvezda TV channel will shoot a documentary entitled “Navy through musicians' eyes'. In Sevastopol, the band will play a full-scale concert for the sailors of the Black Sea Fleet on the grand anti-submarine ship, Kerch. In Vladivostok, on the Russian Navy Day, a unique concert will be played on the Pacific Fleet aquatic sports center, combined with the shootings of the video for the song Vladivostok 3000.
