02.06.10:  Vladimir Putin told to Ilya Lagutenko when the “clearer times will come'.

Mumiy Troll took part in a charity literature and music event in St. Petersburg on the 29th of May. It was organized by “Podari zhizn' (Give life) foundation whose curator is a famous actress, Chulpan Khamatova, and which is dedicated to helping children with oncological and other serious diseases. Together with 5-year old Sonya Pyatnitsa, who is a patient of hematology ward, Ilya Lagutenko recorded the song Malenkaya Miss (Small Miss), which was performed on the concert and became the head song of the charity project.š

Ilya Lagutenko: “It turned out that Sonya both is a real natural born performer, and has an extraordinary winning spirit. I don't remember such a combination even in an adult and healthy singing woman that we had a chance to work with. Studio recording is a great psychological load, especially for a small girl in a serious condition. But Sonya astonishingly well played her new part. She is recovering, and I hope that maybe our song contributed to this as well, causing favorable effect somewhere on sub-conscious level'.š

Before the concert, Vladimir Putin met with the artists who took part in the project. The artists were talking about things that interested them: Yuri Shevchuk asked about free press and non-conformists' marches, Oleg Basilashvili talked about impossibility of Gazprom's skyscraper building in the historical center of St. Petersburg. Ilya Lagutenko asked about the Tiger Summit planned in Vladivostok, which Vladimir Putin mentioned earlier this year. It turned out that the Summit will take place, but in another city.š

Ilya Lagutenko later said: “Wherever the meeting of the Tiger Initiative countries happens, I would like to see among the participants not only active member of the Tiger movements, but also “real young Ussuri tigers' of the new Martime Province music. I sincerely believe that potentially Vladivostok could become the capital of rock-and-roll. This spirit is in the air. Now we just need to find a fair wind.'š

After the meeting with Vladimir Putin, Ilya Lagutenko was entrusted to prepare the offer concerning the cultural part of the Tiger Summit.š

And on the 30th of May, Mumiy Troll presented its new album, Redkie Zemli (Rare Lands) in GlavClub of St. Petersburg. Already several days before the concert, the GlavClub doors had a sign “No Mumiy Troll tickets left'. On the day of the concert, extra tickets were asked even near the subway station, and the band spectators were ready to pay the sum equal to an average monthly salary. On the concert, Mumiy Troll pleased the audience with a new mummy doll, released to the hall and literally torn into parts by the fans. Another specialty was blue balloons that flew from the ceiling during Medveditsa (She-Bear) song. Especially for St. Petersburg, the Petersburg City song was performed – earlier it existed only as a studio version in joint virtual project of Ilya Lagutenko and the band Eliseiskie Polya. The next Mumiy Troll's solo concert in the Northern Capital city is expected in the Ledovy Palace in December of 2010.
