19.05.10: Mumiy Troll performs in Chechnya.
Mumiy Troll will give a start to the summer and the school vacations in Chechen Republic, on the 26th of May, during the traditional “the final school bell' ceremonies. This will be the first concert in Grozny in Mumiy Troll's history, so it will become a memorable event for both the band's members and for citizens of the tough Caucasian capital: it turned out that there are a huge number of MT's fans in Chechnya. By the way, the whole idea of performance in the Republic was born because of the Chechen music lovers' expectations.
Ilya Lagutenko: “A couple of years ago we were playing in Nalchik (the capital of another Caucasian Republic), and a lot of young guys from Chechnya came to see our concert. We got acquainted after the concert, and they promised we will surely meet in Grozny, when we come to play there. It seems they made everything to keep their Caucasian Man's Word. For us, a meeting with somebody who wants to listen to Mumiy Troll live is the main component of our creative life. Distances and borders are not obstacles to us.
While Mumiy Troll prepares for its mission of uniting people through music, the Chechen fans of rockapops are accumulating the necessary amount of the famous Caucasian hospitality to properly welcome the band, and they await some songs performed in Chechen language.
