19.02.10: Mumiy Troll will represent Russia on the grandest arts festival in the USA.
South by Southwest (SXSW) is an annual grand event that includes music and film festivals, as well as many thematic conferences. The SXSW festival has an unofficial reputation of the “discoverer” of talents for the music industry and spectators of America.
SXSW started in 1987 as an independent music festival. Nowadays, during the four spring days, the eighty SXSW stages accommodate 1400 performers from all over the world. Mumiy Troll will become the first Russian band to perform on this festival. During its 20 years, the festival has become an influential event for both beginning musicians and a must for world-known artists’ promo campaigns. There one can see Morrissey and Tom Waits, as well as young talents from Europe and Latin America. In 1994, the SXSW has added film and internet resources festivals and conferences to its music program.
Mumiy Troll’s performance will be held in The Aquarium on the 19th of March. Mumiy Troll will represent Russia both on the festival stage and on several master classes and SXSW conferences.
On its way to the famous Texas festival, Mumiy Troll will perform in New York (March 10, Sullivan Hall), Saratoga Springs (March 11, Putnam Den) and Los Angeles (March 14, Spaceland).
