18.02.10:  Mumiy Troll releases a new album.

A new Mumiy Troll's album, Redkie Zemli (Rare Lands) is going to be released on the 16th of April. The name of the album refers to Vasily Aksenov's book. The album is a tribute paid to Ilya Lagutenko's favorite writer.š

“It turns out that in some sense we played the same territory's symbols together with Aksenov, whose books were always a part of my life, and whose life had strangely interlaced with my family's one. We've never had a chance to meet in person after all, but it seems we've met via our fantasies products. Tochno Rtut Aloe (Exactly Mercury Aloe), the name of our album released in the end of the XX century, was by my intention referring to that Red Mercury, the mystical and most expensive rare metal, the symbol of the 90s' – says Ilya Lagutenko.š

Besides the songs, it was decided to include several instrumental tracks in the album. All the compositions of Redkie Zemli were recorded at a different time, but they are common in the fact that they were never released together.š

A video clip is already shot for one of the album's songs, Smog. The idea for the video for the Smog song was born in Kronshtadt, an island town near St. Petersburg, which Ilya Lagutekno visited last year: “I think the result is an art-music tale about Duty, World and Women who always wait for their Beloved.' The clip director is Bjorn Tagemose: Mumiy Troll continues its effective cooperation with Shoot the Artist company. The clip premiere will be on Muz-TV channel on the 23rd of February. This is Mumiy Troll's present to all military men and their families for the Day of the Fatherland Protector holiday.

The new Mumiy Troll's album will be presented on the coming concerts in Moscow (April 30, Glavklub) and in St. Petersburg (May 30, Glavklub).
