24.09.08: Mumiy Troll's bass-guitar player goes to the Far East to take part in the celebration of the Tiger's Day.
Mumiy
Troll's bass-guitar player, Eugene «Sdwig» Zvidionny, goes to the Far East to take part in the celebration dedicated to the
Tiger's Day. The Tiger's Day is traditionally celebrated in Russia in
September.
Eugene
Zvidionny: «By protecting tigers, we save our planet, forests and rivers,
air and ourselves.»
The
musicians of Mumiy Troll actively participate in actions related to the
protection of the stripy predator: Ilya Lagutenko is a patron for
Russian-British foundation AMUR and speaks out for protection of Amur tigers
and Far Eastern leopards on an international level. In the beginning of this
year, Ilya met with the founders of the International Tiger Coalition,
representatives of the World Bank in New
York, and now Eugene Zvidionny went to a brief trip on
Russian Martime region together with them.
During
several days of this Far Eastern visit, the Mumiy Troll's musician, together
with representatives of the World Bank, will visit habitats of Far Eastern
leopards and Amur tigers, the wild animals rehabilitation center and meet with
the governor of the Martime region. On the 28th of September, during the
holiday events on the central square
of Vladivostok, Eugene
Zvidionny will present Mumiy Troll's AMBA album (AMBA means «tiger» in
Udege people language) to the most active participants of various contests.
